From love to hate, one solution: gamers dropped Helldivers 2's rating because of the need to link an account to the PlayStation Network
Yesterday, Sony announced that in order to continue accessing Helldivers 2, PC gamers have until 4 June to link a PlayStation Network account to Steam, or create one if they don't have one.
This decision caused an extremely strong reaction and dissatisfaction of the public.
Here's What We Know
Steam users began to massively put Helldivers 2 negative assessments. According to the information of SteamDB portal, over 80 thousand negative reviews were published only for the last 24 hours.
Gamers are unhappy that Sony wants to pull them into the PlayStation Network in such a crude way and note that in some regions it is impossible to create an account in PSN at all, and threaten to try to return the funds even if they spent more than two hours in the game.

Arrowhead Game Studios has responded to the situation and said on their Discord channel that this is Sony's decision and the developers have nothing to do with it and cannot reverse it. They will do their best to make sure that users don't lose access to Helldivers 2, but that's where their options end.
Head of Arrowhead studio and creative director of Helldivers 2 Johan Pilestedt reminded that the requirement of account binding was stated in the description of the shooter, but this option in the game was inactive, and what is written in small print most people do not read.
In general, the situation is controversial.
