Google Gemini expands language support on Android
Google's digital assistant Gemini has received a major update and expanded its language support on Android.
Here's What We Know
Gemini, the successor to Google Assistant, now supports Chinese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, and Spanish (Latin). Previously, the assistant only worked with English, Japanese, and Korean.
Google is expected to expand the list of supported languages to include Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, Indonesian, Russian, and Urdu.
In addition, Gemini is now available in more countries, including all EU countries, Switzerland and the UK. Using the Internet, users can access this assistant in any of these regions.
In some countries, the app is available through the Google Play store, while in others it is available through the Google Assistant app.
Gemini is already available on a number of Galaxy devices, including the popular Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 smartphones and tablets. Users can download the assistant from the Play store or use it via Google Assistant or Google Search.
