Netherlands plans to transfer F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters to Ukraine this autumn
We have already written many times that the Netherlands is going to supply Ukraine with fourth-generation F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters. Now it has become known when the transfer of weapons will begin.
When We Can Expect It
According to the Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren, the delivery of aircrafts is scheduled for the autumn of this year. Now Ukrainian pilots are undergoing a training programme on the use of fighter jets in different countries. By the way, the Netherlands has promised Ukraine 24 aircraft. In addition, the AFU will also receive Danish, Norwegian and Belgian F-16s. The first batch of aircraft should arrive in Ukraine this summer.

F-16 Fighting Falcon is a multifunctional light fighter. It was developed by the American company General Dynamics. Due to its versatility and low cost, the F-16 is a success on the international market. It is in service with 24 countries. The F-16 is the most mass-produced fighter of the fourth generation. As of 2009, more than 4,400 machines have been built, and in 2016 more than 2,500 were in operation.
