Remedy is best known for its story-driven single-player games like Alan Wake or Control. However, the studio has also been developing a co-op project, but the key word here is"developed".
Here's What We Know
Remedy and Tencent (the latter owns a 15% stake in the Finnish studio) have decided to cancel the co-op game project codenamed Kestrel.
The game was developed by a small team that worked on the early concept of a cooperative multiplayer game. The project launched in November 2023 as a relaunch of a previous project codenamed Vanguard.
The decision to cancel Kestrel will allow Remedy to focus more on other games. The Kestrel team will be transferred to other projects at the studio.
