Healy: Media Molecule's next game will be more of a game than a creative tool

Mark Healey, co-founder of Media Molecule, said that the next big game will focus on gameplay rather than development tools.

Here's What We Know

He shared this in an interview with MinnMax's Ben Hanson after his departure from the studio. Healy expressed confidence in Sony's continued support for Media Molecule, hinting at a potential return to profitability with a new project.

Speaking about Dreams, Healy noted missed opportunities, such as the lack of online multiplayer at launch and a PC version. Nevertheless, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work on such an ambitious project.

Media Molecule stopped supporting Dreams in September 2023 and has since devoted itself to the development of a new IP. Although there are few details about the upcoming game, it is confirmed that it will be different from Dreams or LittleBigPlanet, promising a fresh gaming experience.
