The number of Nintendo Switch consoles sold totalled 141.32 million units

The Nintendo Switch may not be dominating the sales charts like it used to, but the console is still going strong, especially considering the fact that it is now in its seventh year on the market. According to Nintendo's latest earnings report, the console has reached a milestone: as of 31 March 2024, it has sold 141.32 million units worldwide.

Here's What We Know

In the fourth quarter alone, Nintendo managed to sell 1.96 million Switch consoles, which is 15.70 million units for the entire fiscal year. This is 12.6 per cent less than in the previous year. Interestingly, while sales of the Nintendo Switch - OLED model grew by 1.1 per cent, sales of the standard Switch and Switch Lite decreased by 37.1 per cent and 3.7 per cent respectively.

On the software side, Nintendo sold 35.72 million units during the quarter, bringing its total to 199.67 million sales for the full fiscal year. Although this is down 6.7 per cent year-on-year, it is still a significant figure.
