Gemini AI will soon appear in the settings menu of Google's app
A new option related to Gemini AI may soon appear in Google's app. Google's chatbot tab may appear in the app's settings to make it easier to access Gemini.
Here's What We Know
According to an AssembleDebug coder on X/Twitter, Google's Android app will soon offer users a separate Gemini tab in the settings menu. While the source did not specify the version of the Google app that will activate this option, it is expected to be available for all users soon.
You will soon have the gemini option in the Google app setting. This is another way of opting into using gemini (if not opted-in already). If already opted-in, then it will just open the gemini chat window. pic.twitter.com/qsdwI4BNq8

Users who have installed Gemini will be automatically redirected to the app's chat window when they click on this tab in the settings menu. On the other hand, those who haven't used Gemini yet can now activate the artificial intelligence chatbot on their devices for the first time. The Gemini tab will appear between the Google Assistant and Voice options on the settings page of the Google app.
While Google has made great strides in improving the use of Gemini, some key Assistant features are still not available on the chatbot. Google is reportedly already trying to narrow the functionality gap between Gemini and Assistant, but so far the difference remains significant.
