Images of Lenovo's new IdeaPad Slim 5 laptop with Snapdragon X Plus chipset have been leaked
The internet has leaked information about Lenovo's new IdeaPad Slim 5 laptop powered by Snapdragon X Plus chipset. This is confirmed by images published in X by user WalkingCat.
Here's What We Know
The new Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 is powered by a 10-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processor with a 6+4 architecture (6 high-performance cores and 4 power-efficient cores). This chip is a stripped down version of the more expensive 12-core Snapdragon X Elite chip. Both chips will be based on TSMC's 4nm process.

The images also reveal information about the ports of the new device. On the left side, there are two USB-C ports, a dedicated HDMI port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the right side, there are two USB-A ports and a microSD card slot. According to reports, many of the upcoming Snapdragon-based laptops may not offer a 3.5mm jack, but this laptop does.
Unfortunately, that's all the information that the images reveal about the upcoming IdeaPad Slim 5. The first wave of Snapdragon-powered laptops are expected to launch on 20 May.
To have an idea of what we can expect, the previous IdeaPad Slim 5 14IMH9 offers a 14-inch 16:10 aspect ratio OLED display with 1920 x 1200 resolution and 60Hz refresh rate at a price of $1,000.
The new IdeaPad Slim 5 is rumoured to launch in mid-2024.
