A phantasmagorical monster that pours out a golden glow: the developers of Elden Ring have unveiled the art of a new enemy from the Shadow of the Erdtree add-on
FromSoftware is reluctant to share any details about the Shadow of the Erdtree add-on for Elden Ring, even though its release is just over a month away.
Players still don't know what enemies they will have to face in the DLC, but new art from Elden Ring developers has revealed one of the mysterious creatures.
Here's What We Know
On the game's X page, FromSoftware posted an image of an unnamed monster with a haggard body and a huge head with a golden glow shining through it. This is the description the game designers gave to the creature:
Abandoned and mournful, they seek food under the shadows (under the Umbra) and pray for the embrace of a new lord.
As a reminder, the golden colour is the main hue in Shadow of the Erdtree and plays an important role in the Elden Ring universe.
Fans of FromSoftware games have noticed that the enemy shown is similar to the creatures that roam the city in Bloodborne. In the 2015 game, the player character started to go insane when approaching such enemies, perhaps in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree they will have the same or similar effect.
When We Can Expect It
Shadow of the Erdtree will release on 21 June on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam).
