The animated series set in the Dead Cells universe is subtitled Immortalis, and the new trailer will be shown on 17 May

In the summer of 2023, it became known that the popular Dead Cells metroidvania, created by the French studio Motion Twin, would expand its universe with an animated series. Since then, there hasn't been much news, but now the authors have provided enough interesting information.

Here's What We Know

The project is created by the French studio Bobbypills in cooperation with the French anime service Animation Digital Network (ADN). ADN showed the main art of the game and also announced that the animated series was called Dead Cells: Immortalis. The new trailer will be shown on 17 May.

The events will take place on a cursed island that has been struck by a strange plague. After the foolish king of the island develops a cure that turns the population into monstrous creatures, prophecies begin to appear depicting a hero who will kill the king. But this hero doesn't plan to save the kingdom, he just wants to be left alone.

When We Can Expect It

The animated series is due to premiere in 2024. There will be 10 episodes of approximately seven minutes each, which will first be exclusively shown in France and then become available worldwide.
