Mortal Kombat 2 will premiere in autumn 2025: Warner Bros and New Line Cinema have revealed the exact release date for the sequel

Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have revealed the premiere date for the next film based on the cult fighting game series Mortal Kombat.

Here's What We Know

The direct sequel to the 2021 film will be released on 24 October 2025.

Mortal Kombat 2 is directed by the first instalment's director Simon McQuoid, with Jeremy Slater writing the script.

The sequel will see the return of iconic characters from the series including Scorpion, Kitana, Jade, Quan Chi, and Johnny Cage.

Mortal Kombat (2021) was warmly received by audiences and grossed over $80 million at the box office.
