"Maybe NieR, maybe something else..." - NieR: Automata team hints at development of a new game

Some time ago the creator of NieR series Yoko Taro indirectly hinted at the development of a new part of the franchise. No confirmation has been received yet, but his colleague - producer of NieR series Yosuke Saito - in an interview with Japanese portal Famitsu(translated by Gematsu) said that a new game is in development.

Yosuke Saito said that he is working with Yoko Taro and NieR composer Keiichi Okabe on a new game, but when asked what kind of game it is, the producer was evasive:

It could be NieR, or it could be something else. That's all I can say at this point.

Yosuke Saito said that he has long wanted to resume work with his colleagues, and now there is a great opportunity for this.

Recall, Yoko Taro, who is famous for his love of wordplay and encrypted messages, made another hint. He published a message with a single word "r3incarnationan", to which fans of the game came up with several interpretations, but did not come to a consensus.
