HBO reveals the first photos of Joel and Ellie in the second season of The Last of Us TV adaptation: the shots make it clear what moments from the game we will see on the screen

The second season of The Last of Us TV adaptation started filming in February 2024. All this time, the authors have rarely shared official information, but now they have decided to show two stills from the series.

Here's What We Know

The two photos show two main characters: Joel, played by Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), and Ellie, played by Bella Ramsay (Game of Thrones).

Joel is standing in a bar, so we will 100% see the scene that was shown to us in the trailers of The Last of Us Part II, where Ellie and Dinah are at a party in Jackson.

In the second photo, you can see Ellie standing in winter clothes in an abandoned building. This is probably a moment from the beginning of TLoU II, where she and Dina went on a winter patrol.

When We Can Expect It

The second season doesn't even have an estimated release date, but we can expect the premiere in 2025.
