Vivo teaser video of the upcoming Y200 GT powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and 144Hz display, as well as the updated Y200 5G model
Vivo expands its Y200 series by showing two new models - Y200 GT and Y200 5G. On the company's official Weibo account, videos showing the new products have appeared.
Here's What We Know
Both smartphones promise two-day battery life thanks to a 6000 mAh battery, which is 1200 mAh more than the original Y200 model. In addition, the new products support fast charging power of 80 watts, which is almost double the figure of the original - 44 watts.
Y200 GT, as you can guess by the name, is a more productive model and is equipped with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. The Adreno GPU will output images to a display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. In comparison, the original Y200 uses Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, while the Y200e and Y200i models use the newer Snapdragon 4 Gen 2.
The appearance of the new models also differs from the first three models in the Y200 series. Instead of a rounded or rectangular camera island, they use a "rounded square" design. The orange variant of the Y200 5G will have a faux leather back panel with a protective coating and scratch resistance. Other colour variants are likely to use glass panels like the original Y200.
The new Y200 5G and Y200 GT models are scheduled for official release on 20 May. Vivo has also announced another model, the 5G-enabled Y200t. However, additional information about it has not been provided yet.
