Xbox will continue to lose exclusives: insider reveals Microsoft's plans to port its games to PlayStation and Nintendo

Microsoft has released four of its games on rival consoles in the past few months. Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, Grounded and Pentiment have all become available on PlayStation or Nintendo Switch.

But a huge amount of data indicates that more and more games from the US corporation's in-house studios will be released on various platforms.

Here's What We Know

Jez Corden, editor of the Windows Central portal, added to his own information that Microsoft will continue to release its games on PlayStation and Nintendo.

According to him, the company's plan to port its games to other platforms is codenamed Latitude.

There is still no consensus within Microsoft's management whether this is the right strategy, but due to huge spending and weak sales of its own consoles, the Xbox brand needs to boost revenues, so it is forced into this decision.

Corden claims that many of the games that Microsoft is currently preparing are being developed with an eye towards their release on PlayStation, and within the team, the company wants developers to have "no red lines" about which games can be ported to competitors' devices and which can't. In this way, the company is making it clear that they can release any game they want on PlayStation and, if technical limitations allow, Nintendo consoles.

It's likely that Microsoft may announce a few more ports of their games in the coming months, but only time will tell how true this trend will be.
