Galaxy Fold 5 has started receiving the May security update in India

Samsung this month began actively updating its smartphones to the latest version of the One UI 6.1 system. But apart from that, the company is not forgetting about the security of its current flagship devices. After updating the security of the Galaxy S24, S23 and S22 lines, the turn has come to the foldable flagship - Galaxy Fold 5.

Here's What We Know

A post from a user on Samsung's Indian community forum says that Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Fold 5 in India. It brings a security patch dated May 2024 for this model that fixes 45 security issues.

Many users are expecting the update to also fix the smartphone's excessive battery consumption issue that appeared in One UI 6.1. Whether this update has addressed this issue is still unknown. The size of the new software is 441.54 MB and it has the firmware version of the device at F946BXXS2CXE2.

The new security update for the Galaxy Fold 5 should be available in other regions soon.
