Meizu 21 Note unveiled: new smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 8T LTPO OLED display and 5500 mAh battery with 65W fast charging
Meizu, despite its previously announced exit from the smartphone market, continues to delight its fans with new models. After various rumours and leaks, the company has announced a new smartphone Meizu 21 Note.
Here's What We Know
The novelty is equipped with a 6.78-inch 8T LTPO OLED display with FHD+ resolution and refresh rate from 1 to 144 Hz. It has a maximum brightness of 5,000 nits. The smartphone has also got an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded in the display for quick and easy unlocking of the smartphone.
On the back, there is a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.7 aperture, optical image stabilisation and 8K video recording capability, along with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide module. On the front, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera is integrated into the screen.
The smartphone runs on Flyme AIOS operating system, which provides generative AI capabilities along with call screening, real-time translation and appointment booking. Meizu's AI also enables round-robin search, document summarisation and voice-to-text translation of voice notes.
The Meizu 21 Note also gets a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 3D heat dissipation system, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, a 5,500mAh battery with 65W wired charging support, and has IP65 water and dust protection.
The novelty will be available in China in black and white colours. The version with 16/256GB of storage is priced at 2,599 yuan ($360), while the version with 512GB of storage costs 2,799 yuan ($388). Open sales in China are scheduled to start on 20 May.
