Poland receives six more Bayraktar TB2 drones
The Polish army has replenished its arsenal with Bayraktar TB2 drones, which have recently arrived in the country. This is the last batch under a contract signed three years ago.
Here's What We Know
In the fourth batch, Poland received six more UAVs, three ground control stations, sensors, weapons and spare parts.
The contract was worth $270 million. These drones were supposed to be delivered by the end of 2024, but thanks to the successful organisation and execution of the deal, they were delivered even ahead of schedule. It is also worth noting that the Polish WB Group has previously negotiated with Baykar on the possibility of arming Bayraktar TB2 with Warmate LT barrage munitions.
Poland has joined a number of countries using Turkish drones. The Maldives, Albania and soon Romania have also received or are expected to receive Bayraktar TB2s.
