Galaxy S25 price may rise due to Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
Samsung's new flagship Galaxy S25 will be unveiled early next year with several updates. According to a report from Digital Chat Station, its price may increase due to the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.
Here's What We Know
According to Digital Chat Station, this chip (model SM8750) will be much more expensive compared to previous models, including Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. An increase in the price of the chipset may complicate the production of smartphones, as the display and chipset are already the most expensive components.
This price increase may be due to a new special Qualcomm processor core (Oryon). It can match the performance of Apple's A and M series chips used in iPhones, iPads, and Macs, so performance will be significantly improved compared to previous Snapdragons.
In addition, this chipset will be created using TSMC's second-generation 3nm N3E process. This is the same process used to manufacture Apple's M4 and the upcoming A18 Pro chipset.
