Watch the trailer for Presumed Innocent, a TV series starring Jake Gyllenhaal, which is an adaptation of the novel of the same name and tells the story of a mysterious murder

Back in 1986, the American writer Scott Turow published the novel Presumed Innocent. In 1990, the novel was adapted into a film starring Harrison Ford. A lot of time has passed since then, so a new adaptation of the novel is being prepared for the premiere on Apple TV+, but in the form of a series.

Here's What We Know

The series takes viewers on a journey through a gruesome murder that shakes up the Chicago prosecutor's office when Chief Deputy U.S. Attorney Rusty Sabich is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics, the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to save his family and marriage.

The main role is played by Jake Gyllenhaal, and there are 8 episodes in total.

When We Can Expect It

The premiere of the first two episodes will take place on 12 June, and then one new episode will be released every Wednesday until 24 July on Apple TV+.
