Flashback

The IRIS-T (Infra Red Imaging System Tail/Thrust Vector-Controlled) SAM system is an anti-aircraft missile system developed by German company Diehl Defence based on the IRIS-T guided air-to-air missile. The system is designed to defend against a variety of airborne threats, including aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and cruise missiles.

IRIS-T SLM (Surface-Launched Medium-range) is equipped with an advanced infrared homing head and thrust vector control system, providing high accuracy and manoeuvrability. The system can be integrated into existing air defence systems, such as Patriot, and is used to cover strategically important facilities. The IRIS-T SAM is characterised by high reliability and effectiveness in modern combat conditions.
