In early May, Apple unveiled new tablets, including the first ever 13-inch iPad Air (the tablet was previously available in a smaller size). The other day the gadget finally got into the hands of iFixit specialists.

Here's What's New About It

Full disassembly of the device showed that the 13-inch iPad Air is almost no different from its predecessor - only the screen diagonal has increased. As in the fifth-generation iPad Air, the battery cells still have adhesive tabs, which makes them easier to remove.

However, this still did not save the tablet - iFixit experts gave it for repairability only 3 points out of 10 possible. This is due to the difficulty of removing the display and many other parts.
