The Galaxy S25 Ultra could see big changes to the camera unit
According to the latest leaks, Samsung is preparing a major update for its flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone. The new model is expected to get a much improved telephoto lens and ultra-wide-angle camera.
Here's What We Know
According to information from insider Ice Universe, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel super wide-angle camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel super telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
If confirmed, Samsung will ditch the 10-megapixel 3x telephoto camera found in the Galaxy S24 Ultra in favour of a new 50-megapixel telephoto camera. This change promises to significantly improve image quality, especially in low-light conditions. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is also expected to feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera that will replace its predecessor's 12-megapixel sensor. This upgrade will allow for even more detailed pictures.
Equally interesting are rumours that Samsung may unveil a new Gemini Nano 2 chip as part of its 2025 flagship. This chip is expected to bring improvements in artificial intelligence, which could make the Galaxy S25 Ultra even more competitive in the market.
While the exact camera specs for the S25 and S25 Plus have yet to be revealed, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will likely be the only model in the lineup with a radically upgraded camera.
