Samsung has released a security update for the Galaxy S21 FE for May 2024 in the US

Samsung has been steadily updating its mobile devices with new and improved features. Apart from functional updates, the company does not forget about the security of its smartphones and tablets. Thus, Samsung recently updated the Galaxy S21 FE to the latest One UI 6.1 firmware and now it is updating the security of the smartphone as well.

Samsung is reportedly releasing a security patch dated May 2024 for carrier-locked and carrier-unlocked variants of the Galaxy S21 FE in the US. The update, which improves the device's security to the latest version, changes the software version for locked smartphones to G990USQSBGXE1 and for unlocked ones to G990U1UESBGXE1. The security update for May 2024 fixes 45 security issues.

If the update doesn't arrive automatically, you can check for it via the Settings " " Software Update " Download and Install path.
