Apple expects to ship over 9 million OLED screens for iPad Pro in 2024
In 2024, Apple plans to order more than 9 million OLED screens for the iPad Pro, which will be a big step in the development of the OLED market and confirm the popularity of this tablet.
Here's What We Know
According to a recent report, the new iPad Pro, equipped with Tandem OLED technology, is expected to have a significant impact on the OLED market. Research company Omida predicts that a total of 12.1 million OLED tablet screens will be shipped. Of these, about 8.12 million will be hybrid OLED displays, which are currently only used in the iPad Pro.
This confirms a previous statement from March that Apple's suppliers are preparing to supply 8.5 million OLED panels for the iPad Pro. In January, it was announced that 10 million OLED panels were planned for 2028, but the order was later reduced by 2 million.
LG Display is working on 11-inch and 13-inch versions of the panels, while Samsung Display is expanding its production lines to produce OLED for the iPad Pro.
