Xiaomi expands production of SU7 with CATL and BYD batteries
Xiaomi has announced that it will use batteries from leading suppliers, CATL and BYD, to increase production of its SU7 electric vehicle.

Both battery options have a CLTC range of 700 km and also support fast charging, which allows you to replenish the range of 350 km in just 15 minutes.
In addition, Xiaomi plans to introduce two-shift production at its factory starting in June to further optimise the production process and increase monthly deliveries to over 10,000 units.
Flashback
The Xiaomi SU7, introduced in March 2024, has attracted considerable attention with its three variants: Standard, Pro, and Max. The price of the SU7 electric car starts at 215,900 yuan (27,800 euros).
The standard version, which was originally powered by BYD batteries, now uses CATL battery technology. The Pro version has CATL's Shenxing battery, while the top-tier Max version has CATL's Qilin battery. Each variant offers different battery capacities and CLTC ranges.
