Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy S24 Ultra received an unexpected system update
Samsung has released another update for its flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy S24 Ultra models. The new software, which follows the May 2024 security patch, aims to improve the stability and reliability of the devices. However, the company is not revealing the details of the updates and the reasons why they are only available for the Ultra models.
Here's What We Know
The updates with build numbers S918BXXU5CXE1 for the S23 Ultra and S928BXXU2AXE4 for the S24 Ultra are limited to Thailand for now and it is unknown if they will be rolled out to other countries. Some Galaxy S24 Ultra users are reporting that the update has fixed an issue with the camera that was causing mechanical noise when recording videos. A similar issue was previously fixed on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
It will become clear in the coming days whether the update will be available for other countries. It is also not yet clear if the updates will also be released for the base Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 models as well as their Plus versions.
