Android app "Find My Device" can add biometric unlocking

In the near future, the Find My Device app on Android may receive a major update that includes support for biometric unlocking.

Here's What We Know

Until now, the main function of the Find My Device app has been to find lost smartphones, tablets and other Android devices. In the new update, users will be able to block access to the app using their fingerprint or face to keep their devices safe.

This change was detected manually in the app, although the version that includes it remains unknown. The app has not been updated since early April.

Google also announced plans to release a new "Remote Lock" menu later this year.
