Cortex-X5 core and improved power efficiency: an insider has revealed some details about MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 chip
Chinese insider Digital Chat Station has posted some details on Weibo about MediaTek's next flagship processor.
Here's What We Know
We are talking about the Dimensity 9400 chip. According to the leak, the SoC comes with the model number MT6991. The chip will be built on the 3-nanometre TSMC N3E second-generation process. Thanks to this, the power consumption of the novelty will be reduced by 34%.
Dimensity 9400 will also be equipped with a productive Cortex-X5 core. By the way, in the test version of the SoC the Cortex-X5 core has a clock frequency of 3.4 GHz. By the time of release it can be increased.
The performance core will be complemented by three main Cortex-X4 cores and four energy-efficient Cortex-A720 cores.
When We Can Expect It
Expect the release of MediaTek Dimensity 9400 in the near future is not worth waiting for. The novelty should be shown at the end of the year.
