Samsung Galaxy Ring's FCC registration reveals details about the device's size, battery capacity, charging case and other details
Ahead of the official announcement of Samsung's new device, the Galaxy Ring, new details have emerged, thanks to a recent filing with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Here's What We Know
The Galaxy Ring, a smart ring from Samsung, comes in nine sizes, as confirmed by the latest leaks. However, the most unexpected was the revelation that the smart ring may be more expensive than expected and some of the Galaxy Ring's features may only be available at an additional cost. This is new for Samsung's smart devices, which previously didn't require a subscription to access features.
In the FCC filing, images of the rings in various sizes have been provided, allowing you to gauge their actual size. Each size has its own unique model number. In addition, the documents show the battery capacities for the different ring sizes, which is important for understanding the device's runtime.
Also demonstrated was a charging station for the Galaxy Ring, which is square-shaped and has a USB port, probably type C. The chargers also have different model numbers and may vary in size depending on the size of the ring being purchased.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Ring in July this year along with the new Watch 7 smartwatch and Fold 6 and Flip 6 foldable smartphones. This will be a significant development for the wearable device market and could set a new trend in the industry.
