Android's new Live Caption feature will allow users to resize subtitles

At the Google I/O conference, a new feature was announced for Android users - resizing subtitles in the Live Caption feature. According to the announcement, Live Caption will get a capture bar that can be dragged to change the number of lines displayed for subtitles.

Here's What We Know

Live Caption is a feature that automatically creates real-time subtitles for any language detected in the audio being played on your phone. It's a useful tool for people with hearing impairments, as well as for those who have problems with their device's sound.

The live subtitles are currently displayed in a floating window that cannot be resized at this time. However, with this update, users will be able to adjust the number of lines displayed using the new capture bar.

This option is tentatively set to be available as early as May 2024, but no official release date has been announced yet.
