Google is enhancing the functionality of its Google Home app with new widgets that allow users to control their smart devices directly from the smartphone's home screen. The new widget system, available in the 3.18.1.4 update, simplifies interaction with smart homes by providing convenient access to control and automation.

Google Home widgets allow you to not only remotely control your devices, but also set up various automated actions, making them especially useful for everyday use. When adding a widget to the home screen, users are prompted to select the Google account associated with Google Home to manage connected devices.
