Insider: Apple and OpenAI reach agreement to implement ChatGPT feature in iOS 18

According to reports, Apple and OpenAI have reached an agreement to include ChatGPT in future versions of operating systems, including iOS 18.

Apple, which previously focused on artificial intelligence models on privacy-preserving devices, is now looking for opportunities to cooperate with Google or Microsoft to bring its models to the iPhone. The agreement with OpenAI opens up new prospects for owners who will be able to use the technologies used in ChatGPT through Siri.

Apple is planning to create an AI app store where OpenAI can become one of the key partners. Details of the deal have not been disclosed yet.
