Russia has begun hastily building hangars to protect its aircraft from Ukrainian drones and missiles

At the Marynovka airfield, 300 km from the border with Ukraine, Russians have begun to build defensive hangars to protect their aircraft.

Here's What We Know

New satellite images posted on social network X show how Russians have begun building new hangars at the Marynovka airfield, which is located in the Volgograd region of Russia, 300 km from the border with Ukraine.

There are 12 structures already built, which will become a new shelter for Su-24 frontline bombers and Su-34 fighter-bombers.

The Russian military is probably trying to protect its aircraft from attack drones and ATACMS ballistic missile submunitions. However, another advantage of the hangars is that it will be harder to know whether something is inside or not.
