The joy of gamers was premature: the assumption about the imminent release of Red Dead Redemption on PC is unlikely to be confirmed

A fortnight ago, insider and dataminer Tez2 discovered a line in the code of Rockstar Games' website that explicitly said the game was available on PC and gamers were invited to "experience the epic adventure that defined a generation."

At the time, Tez2 was sure that Rockstar would soon announce the port that gamers have been dreaming of for 14 years, but now he believes that this is not true.

Here's What We Know

Tez2 suggests that the line he saw in the site's code came as a result of the studio's in-house work to move data from one branch to another in its launcher.

Dataminer is sure that Red Dead Redemption will still be released on PC, but for now it won't happen.
