Galaxy S24 became the most popular GenAI smartphone series in the first quarter of 2024

With the release of the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year, Samsung became the most famous brand of smartphones with Generative AI. According to Counterpoint Research, the three premium S24 models took the top spots in the list of the most popular phones with Generative AI.

Here's What We Know

The best-selling phone was the Galaxy S24 Ultra, with a 30.1% market share. It was followed by the base model Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ with a 16.8% share.

The GenAI smartphone market accounted for 6% of total smartphone sales in the first quarter of 2024, which indicates a significant increase in the popularity of this segment. Samsung has strengthened its leadership in this niche thanks to its experience and Galaxy AI technologies.

In the near future, Samsung plans to announce two new foldable phones at Unpacked in July, which are likely to be compatible with GenAI. The One UI 6.1.1 update also promises innovations in the use of AI for video.
