A few days before the presentation: detailed specifications of ASUS ROG Ally X have surfaced online

ASUS will be holding a presentation of the ROG Ally X gaming console on the 2nd of June. Thanks to the leak, we already know the specifications of the device.

Here's What We Know

ROG Ally X externally will be the same as ROG Ally. At the same time, the novelty will get an additional colour - black. The device will be equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen with FHD resolution, refresh rate of 120 Hz and peak brightness of 500 nits. It's not yet clear if the panel will be LCD like before or if ASUS will switch to an OLED matrix. The screen will support AMD FreeSync and Dolby Atmos technologies.

The AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor should be responsible for the performance of the ROG Ally X. It is also installed in the ROG Ally. At the same time, the novelty will receive 24 GB of RAM and SSD-storage up to 1 TB. The gadget will be powered by a battery increased from 40Wh to 80Wh. The novelty will be able to last up to 3 hours of intensive use.

Other features of the ROG Ally X will include a fingerprint scanner and a USB4 port with Thunderbolt 4 support (data transfer speeds up to 40Gbps). The new console will be slightly heavier at 670 grams compared to 608 grams (ROG Ally).
