Google and Magic Leap sign a cooperation agreement in AR

According to the official press release, this partnership will combine Magic Leap's AR expertise and leadership in optical technology with Google's technology platforms.

Here's What We Know

The deal does not involve the creation of a new AR device at the moment, but both companies hope to develop innovative products for the XR ecosystem.

Google has already been developing a "micro XR" platform specifically designed for AR glasses and plans to license it to manufacturers, as well as its mobile operating system.

Google has previously worked with Samsung to develop a platform for future XR products.
