HMD Global will unveil a mid-range smartphone called Skyline in July, priced at €520
HMD Global, known for its Nokia phones, is preparing to release a new mid-range smartphone called Skyline. The novelty is expected to go on sale in July and will be available in retail shops. Skyline is positioned as a high-end device with advanced features and stylish design. A cheaper model - Nighthawk - is also being prepared for sale.
Here's What We Know
According to a Finnish publication, the HMD Skyline will be available in black colour with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, as well as dual SIM support. The Skyline is expected to get a FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor inside.
On the back, expect a triple camera setup with a 108 MP main sensor, 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 2 MP macro or depth sensor. A 32 MP camera is provided for selfies. The Skyline will also get a 4,900 mAh battery with 33W fast charging, IP67 dust and water protection, and Android 14 pre-installed. The smartphone will be equipped with a display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers. The device is expected to go on sale from 10 July at a price of €520.
Another smartphone coming soon is codenamed Nighthawk and will cost less than €300. The Nighthawk will also get a FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, but a less powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. RAM will be 8GB and inbuilt storage will be 128GB or 256GB.
The camera on the back will have a 108 MP main sensor and one additional sensor, while the front camera will remain at 32 MP. The Nighthawk's battery will be of 5,000 mAh capacity. Interestingly, the Nighthawk will feature a headphone jack and will also get stereo speaker support.
