OnePlus 13 may not get wireless charging support

OnePlus is advertising its flagship OnePlus 12 as the smartphone with the fastest wireless charging with its AirVOOC technology with up to 50W of power. According to the latest leaks, this feature could overtake the next flagship model - OnePlus 13.

Here's What We Know

According to a leak from a well-known Digital Chat Station insider, the device will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, a 6,000mAh battery and 100W fast charging support. However, it looks like the OnePlus 13 will not get wireless charging support.

The previous model, the OnePlus 12, featured both 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The lack of this feature in the OnePlus 13 might disappoint users. This may be due to the increased battery capacity to 6,000 mAh, which adds weight and takes up more space inside the phone, which in turn makes it difficult to place the magnetic coil for wireless charging.

The OnePlus 13 is expected to get a 6.8-inch OLED LTPO screen with 2K resolution and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is rumoured to hit the market in November or December 2024.
