Baykar has conducted another test of the Bayraktar TB3. The Turkish drone launched from a ski jump for the first time in its history.
Here's What We Know
Bayraktar TB3 is a deck-mounted unmanned aerial vehicle. It is 8.35 metres long, has a wingspan of 14 metres and can carry up to 280kg of payload with a maximum take-off weight of 1,450kg. It has a cruising speed of 300 kilometres per hour.

Such drones will be deployed on the deck of the Turkish Navy's flagship TCG Anadolu, which was inducted into the navy in 2023. The tests, which took place at Baykar's Flight Training and Test Centre, used a ski jump with a 12-degree slope. It mimics the ramp that is installed on the deck of the TCG Anadolu.
According to the manufacturer, Bayraktar TB3 made four successful takeoffs during this session. In total, the drone spent almost 400 hours in the air during the tests, and late last year it made a record-breaking flight of 32 hours, during which it was able to cover 5,700 kilometres.
