Google launches Pixel VPN in beta for Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a and Fold owners
Starting 20 June, owners of Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a and Fold will be able to use the new Google VPN, which replaces the Google One VPN. The application is available in Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 or Android 15 Beta 2.2 in the Play Store under the name "Pixel VPN by Google".
Here's What We Know
Users are able to install and configure the VPN without errors. The updated VPN works efficiently and integrates with the phone's settings interface, showing the VPN key in the status bar.
However, some Pixel 7 owners running Android 14 QPR2 may experience compatibility issues on the Play Store. A system update to fix this issue is expected to be released from June 2024.
This update makes the VPN on the Pixel 7 and Fold similar to those on the Pixel 8, 8 Pro, and 8a.
