Metal Slug Tactics by DotEmu will finally be released this autumn after a period of silence due to the game's postponement to 2024. In addition to the previously announced Nintendo Switch and PC platforms, the game will also be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.

Although the full release of the rogue-style tactical RPG is still a few months away, PC players can try out a limited-time demo during Steam Next Fest from 10 to 17 June, but the content of the demo has not yet been disclosed. In the game, players will have to assemble a team to fight the ancient villain Morden.

The game features a new SYNC mechanic for simultaneous team attacks and allows players to summon explosive support, including the iconic Metal Slug tank. It also boasts 20 mission types, 110 handmade maps, 36 weapons, 176 weapon modifications, nine characters and 36 downloadable options.
