The information was shared by the US Department of Defence. It is an additional batch of MLRS, which will be part of the contract W31P4Q-24-D-0019 for the amount of $1,920,000,000. Lockheed Martin will be in charge of its fulfilment. The number of systems has not been disclosed yet. It is only known that deliveries should be completed in 2028.

HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) is a mobile multiple launch rocket system developed by Lockheed Martin for the US Army. The system is mounted on a truck chassis and is capable of rapid movement across the battlefield, providing high manoeuvrability and rapid response. HIMARS can launch various types of missiles, including GMLRS guided missiles and ATACMS operational-tactical missiles, allowing it to engage targets up to 300 kilometres away with high accuracy. The system is equipped with an automated fire control system that provides rapid guidance and firing.
By the way, HIMARS is actively used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine against Russian invaders. In addition, it is in service with various countries around the world.
