Insider: Sony will introduce the second generation of LinkBuds and LinkBuds S headphones this year
Apart from the flagship WH-1000XM6 and WF-1000XM6 headphones, Sony is now also working on two mid-segment LinkBuds models.

The information was shared by an insider. We're talking about the second generation of the original LinkBuds and the LinkBuds S. The headphones should be released on the market later this year. Unfortunately, the characteristics of the new models are not yet available.

Sony LinkBuds debuted in 2022. The headphones have an unusual design. Their shape resembles a ring or a bagel. The earpiece is held in the ears with special arcs. They have four different sizes. LinkBuds are powered by the V1 processor. In addition, the headphones have 12mm drivers and adaptive volume control. The headphones come with support for Google Assistant and Alexa. The device can last up to 17 hours on a single charge.
As for the Sony LinkBuds S, they are also set to hit the market in 2022. The headphones feature an in-canal design, active noise cancellation (ANC) audio, LDAC codec support, IPX4 water droplet and sweat protection, and up to 20 hours of battery life (with case).
