Rumour: iQOO 13 will get a 2K display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, IP68 case and may come without a Pro version
According to leaks, the iQOO 13 line of smartphones will be unveiled at the end of the year. Earlier it was reported that there will be two smartphones in the lineup - iQOO 13 and iQOO 13 Pro. Both are expected to get the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. But as reported by a well-known insider Digital Chat Station, the company may drop the Pro version.
Here's What We Know
On its Weibo page, the whistleblower says that the new flagship from iQOO will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, IP68 protection and a flat OLED display with 2K resolution from an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded in the screen. Though no model names are mentioned, presumably we're talking about the regular version of the iQOO 13.
When the insider was asked in the comments whether he was referring to the iQOO 13 or the 13 Pro, he said that if the above features are realised, the Pro model will definitely not be released. Recall that previous Pro models such as the iQOO 12 Pro, 11 Pro, 10 Pro and so on did not come out of China. Finally, it looks like the 13 Pro might not even be released in China.
As for other specs, previous leaks have revealed that the iQOO 13 may offer up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone may get a 6,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. There are chances that the iQOO 13 could be launched in November this year.
