There will be 7 episodes in the second season, which is one less than in the first, but according to the authors: "one of the episodes of season 2 will be quite long in duration".

However, the potential third season will be "much bigger" and possibly more ambitious, and, according to the series' co-creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckman, it is quite possible that a fourth season will follow.

We'll see if the authors will manage to show a 20-hour game in 7 episodes or if the events of Part II will be divided into 2 seasons.
