Ukrainian "Hurricanes" attack Russians with a full salvo
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine published a video on X showing two BM-27 Uragan multiple rocket launcher systems striking Russian positions.
Here's What We Know
Many people immediately had several questions about the Uragans. It is known that the stocks of 220mm ammunition have largely been exhausted. Therefore, we can only conclude that Ukraine has managed to create new missiles on the basis of long-decommissioned ones, or they are being manufactured anew locally or in another country.
The powerful hurricane hit the enemy positions.

In addition, Kyiv's allies managed to obtain them from other countries willing to sell them, such as Kazakhstan, Moldova, or Angola.
Prior to the Russian invasion, all Ukrainian BM-27s were planned to be upgraded to the BM-27 Bureviy model. Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian army had approximately 80 BM-27s of various modifications in service.
Flashback
The BM-27 Uragan is a Soviet 220-mm multiple launch rocket system adopted by the Soviet Army in 1975. The missile system is based on the chassis of the ZIL-135M truck, which is equipped with two V8 petrol engines with a capacity of 180 horsepower each. They allow the system, which weighs a total of 20 tonnes, to reach speeds of up to 65 km/h. The system is armed with 16 220 mm missiles mounted in tubular launchers.
