The new Dragon Age instalment is changing its name again: BioWare has announced that instead of Dreadwolf, the continuation of the series will be subtitled The Veilguard
The new Dragon Age instalment has come a long way: it was announced in 2018 and was called Dragon Age 4. Later, the developers renamed it, adding a sound subtitle Dreadwolf. But even it turned out to be temporary.
Just now, BioWare studio announced that the game will be released under a different name.
Here's What We Know
Meet Dragon Age: The Veilguard!
The Canadian developers explained that the new title means that the game's plot is centred on the protagonist and his seven companions, who, it seems, will be called The Veilguard.
As a reminder, the Veil is a metaphysical barrier that exists between the material world and the Shadow (otherworld).
BioWare realised that it was not worth focusing on the game's antagonist (Dreadwolf), so they decided to drop this title.
The game designers promise that each of the central characters will have a unique, elaborate, deep and varied storyline, and the player's actions and choices will affect them all and the overall plot of the game.
BioWare will reveal more details about Dragon Age: The Veilguard on 11 June at 17:00 (CEST) as part of an in-house broadcast on the official Dragon Age YouTube channel.
