Best Buy refuses to repair Samsung phones
Best Buy has suddenly stopped its Samsung Galaxy repair programme.
Here's What We Know
It is known that Samsung has tightened control over the repair services of its gadgets, and therefore the well-known iFixit service has refused to partner with it and cancelled contracts with other workshops.
It is noted that a contract was leaked, which spells out how Samsung requires repair shops to exchange customer data.
Best Buy is no longer accepting orders for Samsung Galaxy repairs on its website, instead offering only iPhone repairs. All references to Samsung Galaxy repairs have been removed from Best Buy's pages.
Samsung and Best Buy do not deny that their partnership is ending. Samsung says it is in talks with Best Buy to determine how to support customers in the future. And Best Buy says it is working with Samsung to find the best way to support mobile customers through authorised services and repairs.
Best Buy will continue to repair Samsung devices with Geek Squad insurance, and Samsung continues to work with uBreakiFix offices to provide official repair services.
